REAL DAKOTA GRINDING WORK · LAKES AREA

Shop & Living Space

For this Lakes Area project, Dakota Grinding used a heavy exposed-aggregate finish in the living quarters and a cream polish in the shop.

Finish

Heavy aggregate & cream polish

THE PROJECT

One Building, Two Distinct Finishes.

The Dakota Grinding crew polished two areas of this Lakes Area building with different results. The living quarters received a heavy exposed-aggregate finish, while the shop received a cream polish.

The exposed aggregate creates a more pronounced stone-like pattern. The cream polish keeps more of the slab’s surface character visible. Together, the two finishes show how the same material can take on different looks across a project.

THE VISIBLE RESULT

Two polished surfaces with distinct patterns and levels of aggregate exposure.
